In 1963, Takara Corp started motorcycle brake pad due to market change.

In 1970, Takara Corp. quitted manufacturing of bicycle brakes due to less OEM demand and market was changed from bicycle to motorcycle.

Takara Corp concentrated to manufacturing motorcycle brake pad until today. Material of pad was changed from Asbestos to Non-Asbestos and recently,

sintered metal  pad is more popular motorcycle industry.

In 2003, Takara restarted manufacturing  of MTB with motorcycle pad technology.
